Steam Mover is a portable application that can be used to move installed
application files from the C drive to Other drives. There are cases that
the C drive may be full because of installing large apps such as games
and other apps,In this cases system can be slow due to small memory in C
drive. In this situation Steam mover can be used to move this to other
drives.It works on windows vista,windows 7 and windows 8.
How to use:
- Download Steam Mover | 1168k and unzip it.
- Put the folder in which your applications are installed in Stream apps common folder . The alternative folder is the path where the programs have to be moved (Say D:\).
- Once the source and destination folders are set you can use the arrow button to move the application in between the folders
Example to use
Here I have my steam folder in the default location, and the application
should find that for you. If not, select the \Steam\SteamApps\Common\
folder yourself, and a secondary hard disk D:\, where I have created a
folder.
Note:
that Steam Mover can be used to move any folder around (by changing
the Source Path), but for Steam the maximum benefit is in moving
individual games from the Common folder.
Uninstall
Simply delete the SteamMover.exe, and if you really want you can remove the two Registry keys from HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SteamMover\.
